Can I shop on my own?
You have hired us, NRSH Design Studio, to design and complete a vision for your space and we ask that you do not select and purchase items because that selection may not be a fit for the design, space or budget. You will receive a detailed specification for items to be purchased directly.
What additional costs can I expect?
At NRSH Design Studio, we do our best to give you a full cost outlook of each item, but additional costs such as storage, shipping, installation, or unexpected and expected labour, minimum fee and rushed fee do occasionally happen. We will inform you as far in advance as possible if any additional fees that may be incurred.
Do you work with contractors hired by the clients?
At NRSH Design Studio, we do work with contractors hired by the clients. We love working with other design professionals to create your custom space. However, we have preferred vendors and professionals that we like to work with, and can provide recommendations when necessary. All contractors, consultants, architects and trades hired by our client are an integral part of our design process.
How long do projects normally last?
This depends on the scope of the project and what is purchased. Occasionally there are delays caused by weather, vendor vacations, factory errors and other unpredictable influences, that are out of our control. The client as well as all professionals hired to work on the project are expected to not cause unreasonable delays in the project.
How do I place an order?
Once you receive a Work Order, you have 24 hours to either accept or decline the items. For acceptance, a signed copy of the Work Order or approval, along with deposit is required to place an order. No item will be ordered by NRSH Design Studio until we receive signed Work Order and deposit.
Can I change my mind after an order is placed?
Most often orders cannot be cancelled or refunded. In the event that a full refund can be attained, you can cancel the order and receive a refund for the cost of the item minus the purchase fee, restocking fee and any other applicable fees. You will be charged the hourly rate for the time spent on cancelled order. Custom orders are non-refundable.
What if I have concerns about an item?
Please bring these to our attention immediately and we will discuss your concerns, and if necessary, find a more desirable solution. The decision about what is purchased and installed in your home is ultimately yours.
What about budget?
At NRSH Design Studio our goal is to work within your budget, whether you are looking to get a completely custom masterpiece or more along the lines of Pottery Barn or a mix of the two. The end result should be your dream space. Having a budget is very important for the project to run smoothly and for your expectations to be met.
What is the difference between a specification and work order?
A Specification is a document that we provide with all the details for you to purchase an item yourself. You will pay the vendor directly. A Work Order is a document where we request payment for items from you so that we can purchase the items on your behalf. Work Order are payable to NRSH Design Studio Inc.
How are items delivered?
We will arrange the delivery as the items are available. You will be notified when the delivery is scheduled, with minimal disruption
